Groundbreaking designOther devices over the years have had difficulty of on-site, after market installation and incompatibility between the need for high speed refueling flow and restriction of the fuel neck. FuelGuard® has solved these challenges through the design of a spring which has rounded edges and therefore allows for the greatest dispersion of fuel when hitting a flat surface at high speed and the free flow of fuel into the tank, tested to 180 litres per minute. FuelGuard® has solved a number technical issues associated with the prevention of fuel theft in the earthmoving industry:
Fuel theft costs moneyThieves are targeting machines in both rural and metropolitan areas on: • Roadsides A drained tank could leave an excavator idle for 2 hours while refueling is arranged, resulting in not only a loss of the cost of the stolen fuel but also a loss of income from the resulting down-time. Add to this the costs of project delays, dependent machine downtime such as dump trucks or tippers and costs of associated vandalism such as broken caps. A single incident could cost several thousand dollars per machine. Thief deterrentEvery machine that is fitted with FuelGuard® has a highly reflective warning sticker placed next to the filler neck to deter thieves from breaking the caps or lock boxes. Once installed FuelGuard® is near impossible to remove. Check out our installation video What machines does it fit?
